The Estate
Respectful of the environment, Mickael Marillier and Laurent Chardigny work according to the principles of lutte raisonnée.
Presentation

Founded in 1921, the Domaine de Rochebin has been devoted solely to winegrowing since 1972.
Located in the heart of the Mâconnais region, in Azé,
It manages over 50 hectares of vines.
Mickaël Marillier, alongside his father Jean-Pierre, and Laurent Chardigny jointly manage the estate.
The three men share the same philosophy and work in the same direction. The entire vineyard is managed according to the principles of lutte raisonnée, and the plots are grassed.
Philosophy
Two words sum up the philosophy of Domaine de Rochebin: listening and tradition.
Listening, the kind of listening men do for each other. Between them, tasks are well divided. Mickaël Marillier, who has been with the company since 1991, is in charge of sales, administration and vineyard management.
Laurent Chardigny, who joined the business in 2008, is in charge of winemaking and order preparation.
Mickaël's father Jean-Pierre is the guarantor of the estate's original philosophy.
A family estate, handed down from father to son, which turned to vines in the early 70s.
Tradition is what inspires the estate to work the vines, make the wine and offer fresh, fruity wines for pleasure.
Domaine de Rochebin wines are a pleasure to share with friends.
Between 2 and 5 years, our wines evolve with fruity aromas and fresh sensations...
Know-how
The principles of integrated pest management are applied throughout the estate. All plots are grassed.
Aligoté, Pinot and Gamay vines are Guyot mâconnaise pruned, while Chardonnay vines are arcure mâconnaise pruned for better ripeness.
The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness, with higher tractors that allow them to pass through the rows.
Crémant plots are harvested by hand.
All Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes are destemmed directly in the vineyard during harvest, before being transferred to the maceration vats.
The white wines are aged in vats with low-temperature fermentation.
