Cantal / Puy-de-Dôme
These two departments, ambassadors for the Parc des Volcans d'Auvergne, a land of legends and generous terroirs, will introduce you to craftsmen and winemakers who represent local know-how.
Straddling the Cantal and Puy-de-Dôme departments, the Parc des Volcans d'Auvergne stretches 120 km from north to south. With almost 400,000 hectares, it is the largest regional nature park in mainland France.
Set between valleys and ridges, this mid-mountain region ranges in altitude from 40 to 1,886 m, with the Puy de Sancy, the highest peak in the Massif Central. It is made up of 5 natural regions with unique landscapes: Artense, Cézallier and Monts du Cantal,
Monts Dômes and Monts Dore.
In these wide-open spaces, you need to give yourself time to discover and appreciate the landscapes, flora and fauna,
culture and ancestral techniques.
